Who do I contact for trash pickup?
The City of Auburn Hills does not provide trash pickup.  Residents must contract on their own for services.  Click on the link below for a list of companies licensed to operate in Auburn Hills.  You should also contact your homeowners association if you have one to see if the association has contracted with one of the carriers on behalf of your subdivision.

Where is the nearest recycling center?
There is no recycling center in Auburn Hills.  However, most trash hauling companies offer recycling pickup.  Contact your carrier to find out if this is an option.
 
Where do I register to vote? How do I obtain an Absentee Voter Ballot? Where do I vote?
You may register to vote at the City Clerk’s office Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  You may also register to vote at any Secretary of State office http://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,1607,7-127-1633---,00.html.  For more information on voting by absentee ballot, polling locations, polling hours, etc. click on the "Elections" button to the left.
 
Do you offer notary services?
Yes, it is recommended that you call our office before coming in.
 
Do I need a business license?
Generally speaking, no.  The City of Auburn Hills only issues the following types of licenses:  Liquor Licenses, Public Recreation Hall Licenses, Trash Hauler Licenses, Used Car Lot Licenses and Solicitor’s Licenses.  However, the City’s Zoning Ordinance requires businesses to meet certain other conditions.  Information about these requirements may be obtained from the Community Development Department's pages on this website.
 
How do I obtain copies of City records?
Copies of City records are available through the Freedom of Information Act.  Click below for a request form.  When we receive your request we will reply within five business days with either the information requested or a notice that we need to extend the response period for an additional ten business days in order to gather the information requested.  We charge $.25 per copy, plus labor and postage.
 
How do I obtain birth/death records, a marriage license, a deed?
