Explorer Post
The Auburn Hills Fire Department has an organized explorer program for youth, ages 14-20, in conjunction with the Clinton Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  The program intent is to provide the youth of our community both education and practical experience in fire and emergency medical services.  Once they complete their initial training the explorers can become directly involved in operations of the department including public education, home fire safety surveys, hose testing, non-hazardous incident operation, and state certified firefighter training.  This is only a small sample of explorer involvement.  Upon successful completion of high school, explorers will be given the opportunity to become a regular member of the Fire Department.

As a member of our explorer post, youth will not only learn about career opportunities in the fire service, they will also develop desirable qualities such as character, responsibility, and leadership, while providing a service to the community.  If you or anyone you know are interested in becoming a member of the Fire Department Explorer Post, please contact the fire department at (248) 370-9461.
